Sounds like dinner with my friends...
CHICAGO - Go to dinner with Alan Keyes, and you might end up discussing the motivations of Iago in Shakespeare's "Othello" or how Napoleon could have won the Battle of Waterloo.
Not on the menu: Light banter about football scores or the latest celebrity gossip.
"He really doesn't want to make much small talk. Whether it's politics or Shakespeare or something else, it can tire you out," said his friend Richard Ferrier, who has known Keyes for almost a decade. "He's really amazingly intelligent and articulate."
